When this hotel was new, they bought a beautiful piano to create an atmosphere of class and elegance.
That was a while back.
Now, the hotel has slipped a bit. There are wrinkles in the lobby carpet, and someone at the front desk put up a sign on the piano that essentially says, “Don’t play it—it’s too noisy.”
Just a guess, but it looks like this hotel has lost the heart of its story.
The piano was once part of what made the place special. Now, it’s something they’re asking guests not to touch.
